PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police announced a series of arrests on Jan. 7, targeting individuals involved in child exploitation, sexual molestation, and fraud.
Nathan Archambault, 20, of Coventry, was taken into custody by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for possession of child pornography.
Archambault was processed at the Wickford Barracks and appeared in Third District Court where Judge O’Neill set his bail at $5,000 with restrictions on internet use and communication with minors.
Simultaneously, the Special Victims Unit apprehended Moises Bermudez, 54, of Pawtucket, on multiple counts of child molestation.
Bermudez faces two counts of first-degree child molestation and four counts of second-degree child molestation.
Following processing at State Police Headquarters, Bermudez was transported for arraignment in Sixth District Court.
In a separate operation, the Auto Theft Unit arrested Kimishia Jones, 38, of Warwick, for obtaining money under false pretenses.
Jones received a special arraignment by a Justice of the Peace and was released with a pending court date.
