Woman arrested on multiple charges including domestic assault and larceny in Rutland

RUTLAND — On Jan. 5, at approximately 12:29 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a reported assault in West Rutland.

Elizabeth Bowen, 40, from Rutland, was arrested after an investigation revealed she had inflicted bodily harm on a household member and stolen property.

During her arrest, Bowen attempted to assault a Trooper.

Authorities also discovered that Bowen was in violation of her release conditions, which required her to reside in Rutland City, yet she had been living in West Rutland for several months.

Bowen was processed at the Rutland Barracks and issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court on Jan. 6 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to charges of domestic assault, larceny, and violations of conditions of release.
