Man cited for unlawful trespass at Rutland Town supermarket

RUTLAND TOWN — A 33-year-old man was cited for unlawful trespass at a local supermarket, Vermont State Police said Tuesday.

Troopers were called to the Hannaford on US Route 7 South around 2:06 p.m. on Dec. 31 after receiving a report of a suspicious individual on the premises.

Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, authorities identified Anthony Gimondo as the suspect.

According to police, Gimondo was found in violation of a previously issued notice against trespassing at the location.

He was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court in Rutland on a date to be determined.

The Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks are handling the ongoing investigation.
