St. Albans police seek suspect in Christmas Eve supermarket robbery

ST. ALBANS — On Dec. 24, at approximately 3:30 p.m., St. Albans Police were called to the Hannaford Supermarket in Highgate Commons following a robbery report.

Authorities described the suspect as a white male, between 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black shoes, and a dark baseball cap with a light-colored logo.

The man, who sported a law line beard, fled the scene on foot heading west through the parking lot with an undisclosed sum of money.

The police department urges anyone with information regarding the incident or any other criminal activity to get in touch.
