Route 262 closed due to two-car crash in Watertown

WATERTOWN — Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-car accident on Route 262/Frost Bridge Road, prompting police to close the roadway for cleanup.

The Watertown Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene just under the Route 8 bridges.

The accident led to vehicle debris scattered across the road, necessitating the closure.

Officials have advised that Route 262 will remain closed from the Route 8 north off-ramp to the area just west of the Route 8 south on-ramp near Frost Bridge Road.

The road is expected to be shut for approximately one hour to allow for cleanup operations.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
