BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find 61-year-old Elba Portillo from East Boston, who has been missing since Friday morning.

Portillo was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on December 13 after leaving her home on Marion Street to go to work on Meridian Street.

She did not arrive at her workplace.

This is not the first time Portillo has gone missing, and she is known to frequent the waterfront areas in East Boston.

Portillo is an Hispanic female, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a black jacket, purple sweatpants, and carrying a crossbody brown purse.

Authorities are concerned for her well-being because she suffers from insomnia and may be experiencing the early stages of dementia.

The Boston Police Department urges anyone with information about Portillo’s whereabouts to contact 911 or the Area A-7 Detectives at 617-343-4234.
