ALFRED — A DoorDash delivery gone awry left a homeowner in Alfred without a mailbox this morning after a driver, dropping off an order from Dunkin Donuts, accidentally backed over it.
The York County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred after the driver completed the delivery and was exiting the property.
The homeowner discovered the damaged mailbox and post and has requested that it be replaced, potentially through insurance.
Sergeant Matt Nadeau of the York County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver responsible for the damage.
Anyone with information about the driver is encouraged to contact Sgt. Nadeau at [email protected].
If you are the DoorDash driver involved in the incident, the Sheriff’s Office requests that you reach out to Sgt. Nadeau directly or call the dispatcher at 324-3644, asking the dispatcher to have Nadeau contact you to discuss the matter.
