BETHEL — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Barnard man on drug charges early Monday morning.
At 12:08 a.m., Vermont State Police from the Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle on Route 12.
The driver, Norman Bevins, 50, was found to be operating under the influence of drugs.
During the investigation, troopers determined Bevins was impaired and arrested him for suspicion of DUI Drug.
He was also found in possession of methamphetamines at the time of his arrest.
Bevins was cited to appear in Windsor County Superior Court in Woodstock on March 11 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
