Single-vehicle crash in Bolton leaves driver with minor injuries

BOLTON — A single-vehicle collision on I-89 South near mile marker 72.6 resulted in minor injuries for a Massachusetts woman on Dec. 22.

Chelsea Tchassi-Monkam, 21, of Leominster, was traveling southbound when her 2018 Toyota Camry veered off the road and struck a tree at 3:01 p.m. The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

Vermont State Police, along with multiple fire departments, responded to the scene.

Tchassi-Monkam, who was wearing her seat belt, was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center with minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the incident, citing speed as a probable contributing factor in the collision.
