Woman arrested on drug trafficking warrant in Barnard

BARNARD — In a late-night operation, Vermont State Police arrested a local woman on an active warrant related to drug trafficking offenses.

Andrea L. Veroneau, 36, of Bethel, was apprehended at her North Road residence at 12:22 a.m. on Dec. 22 after troopers from the Royalton Barracks learned of her outstanding warrant.

The warrant was issued for Veroneau’s failure to appear in court on charges of trafficking fentanyl and cocaine possession.

Following her arrest, Veroneau was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility with bail set at $1,000.

She is scheduled to appear at the Windsor County Superior Court in Woodstock on Monday, Dec. 23, at 12:30 p.m. to face her charges.
