WATERFORD — Authorities are renewing their appeal for information in the unsolved murder of Kyle Seidel, who was fatally shot in a bowling alley parking lot 11 years ago.

Seidel was found with a single gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Halftime Lounge and Bowling Alley in Waterford on Dec. 21, 2012.

He later died at a local hospital.

The Waterford Police Department, Connecticut’s Office of the Chief’s State’s Attorney – Cold Case Unit, and other area law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the case.

Detectives say they have developed new leads, located new witnesses, and re-interviewed previous witnesses.

Investigators believe there are people with crucial information who have not yet come forward.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Waterford Police Department at 860-442-9451 or detectives directly at 860-442-0645.

Tips can also be emailed to [email protected] or called in to the Cold Case Tip Line at 1-866-623-8058.

The state cold case unit in Rocky Hill is leading the investigation, with assistance from Waterford Police and the New London County States Attorney’s Office.

In 2014, then-Gov. Dannel P. Malloy authorized a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Seidel’s death.

Officials stress that all calls will be kept confidential.
