BRIDGEPORT — A 34-year-old man was charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in August 2024, police said.
Terence Jermaine Gallimore faces multiple charges, including murder, for allegedly killing 28-year-old Brandaja Azjree Florence Winston and injuring a 30-year-old man on Aug. 17, 2024, on Stratford Avenue.
Gallimore, who was already in custody on unrelated domestic violence charges, was served with an arrest warrant Wednesday morning.
He is charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, and illegal possession of an assault weapon.
The Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Squad, led by Detective Jeffrey Holtz under Sergeant Pasquale Feola, conducted the investigation that resulted in the arrest warrant.
Bond was set at $2 million, with 30% required in cash for release.
Gallimore was scheduled for arraignment at Bridgeport Superior Court on Wednesday.
The State’s Attorney’s Office for the Bridgeport Judicial District worked closely with the police department throughout the investigation.
State’s Attorney Joseph Corradino’s office will handle the prosecution.
Authorities have not released the identity of the injured 30-year-old man.
