BOSTON — A Revere man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a string of armed robberies, including a violent incident at a convenience store where he struck a clerk with a firearm.

John Doe, 35, entered his plea in U.S. District Court to three counts of interfering with commerce by robbery and one count of using a firearm during a crime of violence.

According to prosecutors, Doe robbed a Revere convenience store on March 29, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. Wearing a mask, dark clothing and an orange safety vest, he brandished a handgun and demanded cash and a cell phone from the clerk.

Doe then struck the clerk in the head with the firearm before fleeing with cash and an ice cream bar.

Revere Police detectives, working with Everett Police and the FBI’s Boston office, identified Doe as the suspect in this robbery and two others in the area.

U.S. District Judge Jane Smith scheduled sentencing for Sept. 15.

Doe faces up to 20 years in prison for each robbery count and a minimum of seven years for the firearm charge.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John Smith of the Organized Crime and Gang Unit.
