HILL — A 36-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on Route 3A in Hill, New Hampshire State Police said.
Michael Kaar of Hill was pronounced dead at the scene after his 2003 Mitsubishi FE639 box truck veered off the road and down an embankment near High Ridge Road, according to authorities.
State police received a report of the crash at 12:49 a.m. on Dec. 19.
Troopers from the Troop D barracks responded along with emergency medical personnel.
Speed appears to be the primary factor in the crash, investigators said.
Route 3A was completely closed for about an hour following the incident.
One lane remained closed for approximately three additional hours.
The Bristol Police Department, Bristol Fire Department, Hill Fire Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted state police at the scene.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Trooper Conor Davis at [email protected].
