WATERBURY — Officers from the Waterbury Police Department seized a large quantity of narcotics and a loaded firearm during a traffic stop on Willow Street and Hillside Avenue at around 7:14 p.m. on Dec. 15.
During the proactive patrol, police conducted a stop for several traffic violations and discovered 600 glassine bags of heroin packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia, a loaded Polymer 80 “ghost gun” with an extended magazine, 81.4 grams of cocaine, and $1,525.77 in U.S. currency.
Three individuals were arrested at the scene.
Laura England-Moss, 36, of Brookfield, faces multiple charges including possession of narcotics and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
She was released on a promise to appear for her court arraignment set for Dec. 27.
James Jackson, 60, of Danbury was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, with a court arraignment also scheduled for Dec. 27.
William Reid, 30, of Waterbury faces the most serious charges including the operation of a drug factory, carrying a pistol without a permit, and illegal sale or transfer of a firearm.
Reid, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms and/or ammunition.
He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.
