PROVIDENCE — A series of arrests were made by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the HIDTA Task Force on Dec. 18, targeting individuals involved in various criminal activities including drug offenses and shoplifting.
Odell Foye, 37, was apprehended for allegedly possessing and intending to deliver cocaine.
After being taken to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, he was arraigned and transferred to the ACI Intake Center, awaiting his arraignment in the Sixth Division District Court.
In a separate incident, Samantha M.
Carfora, 30, was arrested on charges related to possession of fentanyl and a probation violation for a previous drug-related charge.
Carfora was taken into custody and transported to the Middletown Police Department.
Lumpini Baythavong, 44, also from Providence, faced multiple warrants for shoplifting and probation violation on a drug possession charge.
Baythavong was arrested without incident and handed over to the Providence Police Department.
Another arrest made by the task force included George Miller, 30, who was wanted for domestic breaking and entering as well as being a fugitive from justice in New Jersey for receiving a stolen vehicle.
Miller was arrested and taken to the Warwick Police Department.
Additionally, the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Jennifer Douglas, 50, for failing to file certain financial reports related to political campaign treasuries.
Douglas was processed and released on personal recognizance after being arraigned.
