WARE — Police arrested Ross E. Kendrick, a resident of Ware, on Tuesday afternoon on multiple criminal charges including two counts of aggravated rape, kidnapping with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, witness intimidation, and carrying a firearm without a license.
According to the Ware Police Department, the arrest occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. after the Eastern Hampshire District Court of Belchertown issued an arrest warrant based on an investigation by Ware Police detectives and State Police detectives from the Northampton District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Kendrick’s home at 105 Gilbertville Road, where the Hampden County Special Response Team assisted in making entry.
State Police Crime Scene units collected evidence related to the charges.
Kendrick is being held on $1 million cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
