WEBSTER — A Webster man was arrested early Sunday morning after police responded to a reported burglary in progress at a local apartment building.

Webster Police Officers, responding to a 1:27 a.m. call, arrived at 5 Robinson Street where they heard yelling and banging from inside the multi-family residence.

Upon approach, they observed Porfirio Cuba, 30, attempting to kick in the door of a first-floor apartment.

Officers Joseph Stephens, Bryan Blomgren, and Alex Johnson found the common hallway door locked, presumably by Cuba, and were forced to gain entry.

Cuba was apprehended before he could enter the targeted apartment and was arrested on-site.

Cuba faces charges including Unarmed Burglary, two counts of Vandalize Property, and Disorderly Conduct.

His bail was set at $500, and he was arraigned at Dudley District Court on Monday.
