FRAMINGHAM — A report of suspicious activity at Fuller Middle School prompted a swift response from local law enforcement Monday after a juvenile was seen handling an object that a witness believed resembled a weapon.

According to the Framingham Police Department, the incident occurred near the intersection of Warren Road and Prindiville Avenue.

The juvenile reportedly dropped the object, retrieved it, and then headed towards the school.

Upon receiving the report from the school administration, the Framingham Police, led by Chief of Police Lester Baker, deployed Patrol and K-9 Officers to the scene as a precautionary measure.

The school enacted a stay-in-place order for students and staff while officers conducted a thorough search.

The juvenile in question stated that the suspicious object was a cell phone.

Following an extensive search by the K-9 Units, authorities confirmed that no weapons were found on the school premises.

The stay-in-place order has since been lifted, and the Framingham Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No further details have been provided at this time.
