Morristown man arrested for vehicle theft, negligent operation

MORRISTOWN — Members of the Morristown Police Department arrested Robert Dragon III on Griggs Road in Eden on outstanding charges of Aggravated Operation Without Consent of the Owner and Grossly Negligent Operation, both felonies.

The arrest, which took place on Dec. 16, followed the recovery of a stolen vehicle by the Vermont State Police on Dec. 14.

The vehicle was found on a property along Vermont Route 100 in Lowell and was returned to Morristown Police for processing.

Dragon was remanded to the North East Regional Correctional Facility due to the inability to post the $5,000 bail.

He was scheduled to appear at the Lamoille County Courthouse at 12:30 p.m. today.

The Morristown Police Department is still seeking information from Kevin Fradette regarding the incident and urges him to come forward.

The department expressed gratitude to the community for their continued assistance and support.
