Old Orchard Beach police seek help in vehicle burglary spree

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Police are asking for the public’s assistance after a string of motor vehicle burglaries occurred throughout the town, with multiple items reported stolen from unlocked vehicles.

The Old Orchard Beach Police Department responded to a series of thefts that targeted vehicles parked along East Grand Ave, Short Street, Central Park Ave, Traynor Street, York Street, Mullin Ave, Roussin Street, and Walnut Street.

The incidents are believed to have taken place in the early morning hours between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Authorities have released an image from a security camera that shows the suspect involved in the burglaries.

The photo quality is not optimal, but enhancements have been made to aid in identification.

Residents are urged to examine their security cameras for any footage captured during the specified time frame that could assist in the investigation.
