WEBSTER — Multiple Webster Police Officers were assaulted Saturday night after responding to reports of a large fight that broke out during a toddler’s birthday party.

The initial call came in at around 8:15 p.m. for a large fight in the street at 23 Everett Ave.

Officers managed to calm the situation, and the individuals involved agreed to go inside their apartment.

However, a second disturbance was reported at the same location just 10 minutes later.

Upon returning, Officers Spencer Donovan, Francheska Cedeno, Nicholas Caruso, David Brooks, Alex Johnson, and Bryan Blomgren found evidence of an altercation inside one of the apartments.

During their investigation, 27-year-old Jordan Campos entered the apartment and attempted to start another fight, striking one of the officers.

As Campos resisted arrest, additional individuals interfered, leading to two more officers being assaulted.

A Taser was deployed to subdue Campos, who also attacked a Dudley Police Officer, Dylan Reney, and spit on Officer Johnson.

With the situation escalating, mutual-aid assistance was requested, and officers from several neighboring departments, including Douglas, Auburn, Oxford, Dudley, Southbridge, Sutton, Leicester, Worcester, and the Massachusetts State Police, provided support.

Campos, a resident of Great Brook Valley Ave in Worcester, faces multiple charges, including Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Resisting Arrest, and three counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.

Additionally, Marylin Lopez, 27, of Everett Ave, Webster, and Franklin Baez, 28, of Catharine St., Worcester, were charged with various offenses, including Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
