PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police made two separate arrests at the Lincoln Woods Barracks on charges ranging from habitual shoplifting to reckless driving.

At 10:57 a.m., Troopers apprehended Everett Britto, age 53, of 608 Huntington Avenue, Providence, RI, on three counts: habitual offender for shoplifting, shoplifting, and possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance.

Britto’s arrest followed a Trooper-led investigation of an incident at Sixth District Court.

He was processed at the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and later appeared for arraignment at the same court.

Later in the day, at 1:22 p.m., State Police arrested Nathan Silva, age 26, of 225 Sterry Street, Apt. 1, Pawtucket, RI, for reckless driving with the aggravating factors of eluding law enforcement and engaging in a high-speed pursuit, marking his second offense of this nature.

Silva’s arrest was the culmination of a coordinated investigation between the State Police and the Pawtucket Police Department, which resulted in his capture on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant.

Silva was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and subsequently released.
