EASTHAM — The Eastham Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver whose actions led to power outages and significant property damage early this morning.
According to authorities, a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle crash at 1:20 a.m. fled the scene before officers arrived.
The collision resulted in extensive damage to utility poles and street signs, disrupting power in the area.
Investigators have identified the vehicle as a black Chevy Silverado pickup from the 2016-2018 model years, based on evidence found at the scene.
The pickup is expected to have damage to the front driver’s side.
