SHREWSBURY — Police are investigating a reported assault on a female Shrewsbury High School student that occurred Tuesday evening in the Stoney Hill Road area.
The student told authorities an older male, estimated to be in his 50s or 60s, physically grabbed her.
She reacted immediately, causing the man to release her and flee the scene.
Shrewsbury Police Department conducted an extensive search of the area using drones, K9 units, and officers after receiving the report, but did not locate the suspect.
Authorities have launched a full investigation and increased patrols in the area to ensure public safety.
