BARNET — A 44-year-old Barnet man faces charges for allegedly violating his conditions of release twice in late 2024.

Vermont State Police cited Patrick Barrett for violating his conditions of release following investigations into two separate incidents.

Authorities began investigating the first reported violation in September 2024.

During that probe, police received a second report of Barrett allegedly violating his release conditions again.

As a result of both investigations, Barrett was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on Jan. 13, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.

The alleged violations occurred while Barrett was under conditions of release from the Northeast Regional Correctional Center.

State police did not provide details about the nature of the alleged violations or Barrett’s original charges.
