ORANGE — An Orange man was taken into custody early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, marking his second DUI arrest, Vermont State Police reported.
At 1 a.m., troopers responded to a domestic disturbance involving 59-year-old Ted Craigie on E Orange Rd.
Authorities were informed that Craigie was heavily intoxicated during the incident with a close intimate partner.
Before state police could reach the scene, Craigie had driven away in his truck.
Upon locating him, troopers observed signs of impairment and subsequently arrested Craigie for suspicion of DUI.
He was processed at the Barre City Police Department.
Craigie has been issued a citation to appear before a judicial officer to answer to the DUI charge.
