Providence man arrested for forgery, false documents after traffic stop

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested a 21-year-old Providence man on charges of forgery and providing false documents to a public official early Friday morning, according to Rhode Island State Police.

At 2:33 a.m., Francly A. Julian Amperez, of 550 Union Avenue, Apartment 1, was stopped on Douglas Avenue and subsequently arrested following the discovery of forged vehicle registration plates and the presentation of a false document to a public official.

Amperez was taken to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing.

After an arraignment by a Justice of the Peace, he was released with a summons to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
