Richmond home burglary leads to grand larceny, vehicle theft

RICHMOND — On Dec. 2, Hinesburg Police Department officers responded to a report of a residential burglary at 3325 Hinesburg Road where multiple items including a motor vehicle were stolen.

The burglary, which authorities believe occurred during daylight hours, was discovered around 4 p.m.

The perpetrators gained entry by hurling a large stone through a glass door, enabling them to access and pilfer various possessions within the home.

A silver 2017 Toyota Tacoma with Vermont registration 293A978 was taken from the property.

Officials warn the public not to approach the vehicle if spotted and to immediately contact law enforcement.

Additional stolen items include U.S. currency, credit cards, tools, and electronics.

The investigation remains ongoing as Hinesburg Police seek to gather more information.

Investigators urge local residents to review any available CCTV footage, including recordings from devices like ring doorbells and home security cameras.
