Franklin general store hit by early morning burglary

FRANKLIN — On Nov. 30, an early morning burglary was reported at the Franklin General Store, prompting an immediate response from Vermont State Police.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 6:58 a.m., involved an unidentified suspect forcefully entering the local store, resulting in the theft of various items and substantial damage to the ATM machine.

Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks arrived on the scene to conduct an investigation into the break-in.

Authorities have released an image of a potential suspect captured during the incident.

The Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information about the burglary or who can identify the individual in the photo to contact the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993.
