MANCHESTER — Manchester police, with the assistance of NH Probation and Parole, have arrested a man in connection with a series of burglaries at the Parkside Convenient Store on 675 Hooksett Rd.

The string of burglaries, which began on Nov. 7, includes three overnight break-ins at the store.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Steven Burleigh of Manchester, allegedly used a rock to shatter a window during the first burglary and subsequently pried off the plywood used to cover the damage for subsequent entries.

During each incident, Burleigh was reportedly captured on surveillance footage.

Scratch tickets, cigarettes, and cash were stolen.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, detectives located Burleigh at the Econolodge in Manchester.

At the time of his arrest, Burleigh had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

He has now been charged with burglary in connection with the Manchester incidents and is considered a person of interest in two additional burglaries outside the city.

Further investigation revealed that Burleigh was in possession of suspected cocaine at the time of his arrest.

He has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug.
