WORCESTER — A Worcester man was arrested early Wednesday for allegedly attempting to break into a parked vehicle, according to the Worcester Police Department.
At around 2:21 a.m. on Nov. 27, officers on patrol noticed 18-year-old Kavont Kelly halfway inside a vehicle on Monadnock Road.
Upon spotting the police, Kelly fled the scene.
A K9 unit was deployed to assist in the search, leading to Kelly’s apprehension on Chadwick Street.
He is now facing felony charges for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle.
The vehicle’s owner was contacted by the officers and confirmed that nothing had been stolen and the vehicle had not been damaged during the incident.
