NORTH ATTLEBORO — Authorities announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a shooting last month at the Hampton Inn that left one man injured.
North Attleboro Police Chief Richard McQuade said officers responded to the hotel at 55 Draper Ave. around 10:06 p.m. on Oct. 21 after receiving reports of shots fired.
They found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was treated on the scene and transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
An investigation by North Attleboro Police detectives, with support from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Unit, led to the identification of two suspects from Attleboro.
Erikka Joseph and Joshua Montgomery, both 27, were apprehended on the morning of Nov. 26 after detectives and troopers from the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section executed arrest warrants.
A search warrant executed at the suspects’ residence resulted in the seizure of a firearm.
The two are being detained pending a dangerousness hearing and will face multiple charges in Attleboro District Court.
McQuade reported that the male victim, caught in the crossfire, is expected to recover fully from his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting continues as officials work to ensure the safety and security of the community.
