SOMERSWORTH — A Northwood man has been arrested following a road rage incident in which a shot was fired, the Somersworth Police Department announced Wednesday.

Anthony Dom, 30, faces charges of reckless conduct with a firearm and criminal threatening with a firearm after an altercation on West High Street on Nov. 14.

According to police, a motorist reported that after another driver threw an object at his vehicle, he confronted the individual.

The other driver, later identified as Dom, allegedly pointed a pistol at him and threatened to shoot.

The motorist discovered a bullet hole in his truck after reporting the incident to the police.

Dom was arrested on Nov. 21 and arraigned at the 7th Circuit Court-Dover District Division on Nov. 22.

He is being held on preventative detention pending a probable cause hearing.

The police have urged the public to report any road incidents to local authorities rather than confronting other drivers.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Somersworth Police Department at 603-692-3131 or leave an anonymous tip at 603-692-9111 or online.
