Winchester man arrested on drug charges after disturbance call

WINCHESTER — Officers of the Winchester Police Department arrested a local man on drug-related charges following a disturbance report on Rockwell Street on Nov. 24.

At around 4:45 p.m., police responded to the scene where they encountered Gregory Stallings-Jr, 36.

After establishing probable cause, Stallings-Jr was arrested and a subsequent search revealed crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of money.

Stallings-Jr was taken into custody and held at the Winchester Police Headquarters on a $50,000 cash/surety bond.

He appeared at GA #18 Torrington Superior Court the following day.

The charges against Stallings-Jr include breach of peace, possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of narcotics, and criminal trespassing.

The Winchester Police Department emphasizes their dedication to combating illegal drug activity and improving the quality of life for community members.
