EXETER — A Rhode Island man was taken into custody Tuesday evening after state troopers responded to a call about a disabled vehicle on South County Trail.
At approximately 5:03 p.m., troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Ryan Mycroft, 35, of West Kingston, following an investigation into the incident in Exeter.
Mycroft is facing charges of simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct.
The arrest occurred after authorities arrived at the scene where Mycroft’s vehicle was reported disabled.
The circumstances that led to the confrontation and subsequent arrest were not immediately disclosed.
Following the arrest, Mycroft was transported to Kent County Hospital.
He was later released on a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Fourth District Court on a future date to answer to the charges.
