Boston police seize fentanyl, cocaine in Dorchester drug bust

BOSTON — A significant drug bust in Dorchester led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of a large quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine, the Boston Police Department announced.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers from the District E-5 and District A-7 Drug Control Units conducted a raid at 119 Wrentham Street as part of an ongoing investigation.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of a substantial amount of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and an undisclosed sum of U.S. currency.

Authorities arrested 33-year-old Cleifit Cruz of Dorchester on multiple drug-related charges.

Cruz is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges including trafficking a Class A substance (fentanyl) and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (crack cocaine).
