Claremont police search for child

CLAREMONT — The Claremont Police Department has launched an urgent search for a possible missing child last seen in the area of Hanover and Elm Streets.

According to the authorities, the child was spotted wearing Spider-Man pajamas and has reportedly run away when approached by police officers.

A specialized K-9 unit has been deployed to assist with the search efforts.

In a door-to-door campaign, officers are canvassing the neighborhood, inquiring with residents for any insights or sightings that could aid in locating the child.

Support has also been extended by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, which is currently operating a drone to provide an aerial perspective.

The New Hampshire State Police are also contributing to the search operations.

As of now, no missing child reports have been filed by parents or guardians.

Residents in the vicinity have received a Genesis mass notification alert, encouraging them to stay alert and report any potential sightings or relevant information to the authorities.

The Claremont Police Department urges anyone who sees a child matching the description to immediately call 911 or contact them directly.
