Rhode Island state police make multiple arrests following investigations, accidents

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers conducted several arrests following separate incidents, including a hit-and-run accident, trespassing at a casino, a domestic disturbance, and a DUI-related crash, according to officials.

At 1:56 p.m., Troopers apprehended Jordy Guzman, 20, of Providence, on an arrest warrant for failing to stop after an accident resulting in vehicle damage.

Guzman was taken into custody following a barracks investigation and after Troopers went to the Woonsocket Police Department.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released with a future court date in the Sixth Division District Court.

Shortly after, at 2:11 p.m., Aires Benros Da Graca, 48, of Cumberland, was arrested for willful trespass.

The incident occurred after Troopers were called to assist with an unwanted person at Bally’s Twin River Casino.

Benros Da Graca was processed at the same barracks, arraigned, and released with a scheduled court appearance at the Third Division District Court.

Later in the evening, at 9:09 p.m., Frederick Roberts, 33, of East Providence, was taken into custody for an active warrant related to domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct from the East Providence Police Department.

Roberts’s arrest was the result of a vehicle crash investigation on Route 95 in Cranston.

He was processed at the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks and handed over to the East Providence Police Department.

In the early hours, at 1:48 a.m., Angelica Jasso, 34, of Providence, was arrested for a first-offense DUI with an unknown blood alcohol concentration and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle crash investigation on Route 95 in Providence.

Jasso was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult with a future Sixth District Court Date.
