Two hospitalized, one cited in Oak Bluffs three-vehicle crash

OAK BLUFFS — Just before noon today, emergency services from the Oak Bluffs Police and Fire-EMS Departments were called to a three-vehicle collision on Beach Road, just north of the Big Bridge.

Two drivers were transported to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital by ambulance for medical evaluation following the incident at Joseph Sylvia State Beach Park.

Authorities cited one operator with a court summons for following too closely and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Assistance at the scene was also provided by members of the Tisbury and Edgartown Fire Departments.

The Oak Bluffs Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
