Enosburg man charged in vehicle theft, drug larceny

ENOSBURG — Vermont State Police arrested a 29-year-old Enosburg man in connection with a vehicle theft and subsequent larceny of prescription drugs from another vehicle.

Brett Langdell was taken into custody on Nov. 18 on an unrelated charge and issued a citation for the thefts, which occurred on Nov. 12 and 13.

According to police, Langdell allegedly stole a vehicle belonging to Scott Goodhue, 61, of Fairfield, from 466 Missisquoi St. on Nov. 12.

The following day, Langdell allegedly used the stolen vehicle to commit a theft from another car in the McDonald’s parking lot at 41 Jay View Dr.

The second theft involved prescription drugs belonging to Angel Morits, 32, of St. Albans.

The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to Goodhue on Nov. 15.

Langdell faces charges of petit larceny, grand larceny, and operation without owner’s consent.

He is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to answer to these charges.
