BOW — A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 93 resulted in one fatality and left another person seriously injured, New Hampshire State Police reported.

At approximately 5:41 p.m. today, Nov. 20, troopers from Troop D were called to the scene near mile marker 32.4 where they found a white sedan and a blue SUV ablaze off the right side of the highway.

The male driver of the sedan was declared dead on the scene, while the female SUV driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The deceased will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord for an autopsy set for Thursday, Nov. 21.

Authorities will release the names of the involved parties pending family notification and further investigation.

The New Hampshire State Police C.A.R. Unit and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are spearheading the investigation with the aid of the Bow and Concord Fire Departments.

As a result, two southbound lanes of I-93 near the crash site remain closed, causing expected delays.

Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.

Early reports suggest multiple vehicles may have been speeding prior to the crash.

State Police are seeking additional witnesses and urge anyone with information to contact Trooper Noah Gooch at [email protected].
