GUILFORD — Vermont State Police cited three individuals for unlawful trespass at Christ Church Cemetery following reports of the incident on Nov. 20.
Lorraine Smith, 47, of Hinsdale, New Hampshire; Dale Shover, 28, of Putney; and Michelle Young, 37, of Newfane, were found to have trespassed on the private property.
The three were issued citations to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Jan. 7 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident and have not released additional details regarding the motive for the trespass.
Community members are reminded to respect private properties and adhere to Vermont’s trespassing laws.
