NEWPORT — North Country Career Center’s SkillsUSA chapter installed eight new officers for the 2024-2025 school year during a ceremony November 12, while launching its annual holiday donation drive for local families in need.
Brady Provost will lead the student organization as president, alongside Hayden Boivin as vice president. Other officers include Kayla Graves as treasurer, Jael Francis as secretary, Cash Mosher as parliamentarian, Mara Bowers as reporter, and Maya Morrison and Eva Thompson serving as co-historians.
Following this year’s theme “Igniting Our Potential,” the chapter is collecting donations for Northeast Kingdom Community Action’s homeless program and Department for Children and Families foster children through December 20.
“With your contribution, we can bring joy to families and help in their time of need,” said Mara Bowers.
Needed items include toiletries, diapers, baby wipes, grocery store gift cards, socks, blankets, and activity books. Donations can be dropped off at the Career Center’s main office.
