GROTON — Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were dispatched to Scott Highway for a reported dispute on Sept. 5 at around 12:50 p.m. following multiple 911 calls.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found that the individuals involved had already been separated.

An investigation led to the identification of Nicholas Gregory, 38, a homeless man, as the suspect in an act of unlawful mischief against John Faucette, 39, of Groton.

After establishing probable cause, Gregory was later issued a citation on Nov. 10.

He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court to respond to the charge.
