BRADFORD — An elderly woman is facing charges including Unlawful Trespass and Attempted Assault on Law Enforcement after an incident at a Hannaford grocery store on Nov. 20.

State Police say Anne Taylor, 73, of Bradford, was taken into custody after causing a disturbance at the store.

According to authorities, troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the scene at approximately 2:56 p.m. following reports of trespassing.

Store employees had repeatedly asked Taylor to leave before troopers arrived.

Upon their arrival, Taylor attempted to re-enter the store and was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Trespass.

Police reports indicate that during her arrest, Taylor resisted and attempted to bite a trooper’s hand.

She also allegedly screamed, which led to an additional charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Taylor was transported to the Bradford State Police Outpost for processing.
