WOODBURY — A 70-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on charges of second-degree aggravated domestic assault and 13 counts of violating conditions of release, in addition to being apprehended on an existing in-state warrant.
Dorothea Wrobel, of Woodbury, was taken into custody after Vermont State Police responded to a call at 11 a.m. on Old Quarry Rd.
Troopers were alerted to Wrobel’s threatening and abusive behavior toward a household member.
Upon investigation, it was confirmed that an assault had occurred, and it was also found that Wrobel had breached conditions of her release from a prior domestic assault case.
Following her arrest, Wrobel was transported to the state police barracks in Berlin.
She was held on bail at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
The Vermont State Police have not disclosed the identity of the victim, adhering to policies that protect the confidentiality of individuals involved in sexual assault or domestic violence cases.
