BOSTON — A Roxbury man was arrested Monday morning in connection with a recent shots fired incident, according to the Boston Police Department.
At about 10:55 a.m., on Monday, November 18, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force took 31-year-old Demetrius Aaron into custody in the area of 333 Risciutti Drive in Quincy.
Officers recovered a firearm, identified as a Taurus G2C, with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine during the investigation.
Aaron was wanted on a warrant from Roxbury District Court for multiple firearm-related offenses, including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Intentional or Reckless Discharge of a Firearm; Striking a Dwelling or Other Building, and Armed Career Criminal Level 2.
He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
The initial incident occurred on Wednesday, November 6, when officers from District B-2 responded to reports of gunfire at around 7:20 p.m. near 26 Annunciation Road.
Although ballistic evidence was found at the scene, no injuries were reported.
The Boston Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
