Family hospitalized after head-on collision on VT Route 15 in Westford

WESTFORD — A two-vehicle collision on VT Route 15 near Allen Irish Road resulted in a family of four being hospitalized with suspected minor injuries on Nov. 18.

Vermont State Police reported that at approximately 8:10 p.m., a 2022 Volkswagen Taos, driven by Kayla Csajko, 35, of Newport, attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided head-on with a westbound 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Donald Russin, 62, of Cambridge.

Authorities said Csajko’s vehicle lost control, entered the southside ditch of the roadway, and overturned.

Russin’s vehicle came to a controlled rest on the shoulder with no reported injuries.

All occupants of the Volkswagen, including Thomas Csajko, 44, and two juveniles aged 7 and 10, were wearing seat belts and transported to UVM Medical Center by Fairfax Rescue.

The Underhill / Jericho Fire Department and Ron Bushey Auto assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, and witnesses are urged to contact Trooper Sweet at the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks.
