HYANNIS — A 20-year-old Hyannis woman was charged with operating under the influence and other offenses after crashing her car into a parked police cruiser early Saturday morning.
Gabriela Prodelik was driving when she collided with the unoccupied Barnstable Police Department vehicle on Lincoln Road just after 1 a.m. while officers were responding to a silent 911 call at a nearby house.
Prodelik and her 24-year-old passenger were injured in the crash and transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Hyannis Fire Department personnel.
Their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
Authorities issued Prodelik a citation at the hospital for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, and speeding.
She is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges at the Barnstable District Court.
